Bloggers Recognition Award

*SPECIAL EDITION*

First, let me thank Julie Dibble for nominating me for this award. If you’re not following her blog or her social media, well…you’re missing a treat. It’s amazing how God works through social media, isn’t it? I found Julie, somehow, on Twitter. Don’t ask me how we first connected because I don’t remember. I’ve been working diligently for months to add numbers to my social media accounts and, thankfully, God brought Julie to me. Julie is much better than I am about reading and interacting with others on social media. She responds and adds value to online content. Me? Not so much. But, I’m trying to do better with this. One thing, among many, I love about Julie’s writing is its brevity. Poetry is a distillation and for me, in this rapid-fire world of information overload, fewer words with more power is what I crave. Thank you, Julie, for your poetry.

Here are the details on how this recognition works:

The Rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Write a post to show your award.
  • Give a brief story about how your blog began.
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
  • Select 15 or more bloggers for this award.
  • Let each nominee you nominated them and leave a link to your post.

My blog, The Boot, began less than a year ago. After attending my first-ever writing conference, Florida Christian Writers Conference, God showed me clearly, this was something I must do. It’s still a work in progress…as am I.

It’s taking me longer than I’d prefer, to find my voice and my brand. However, I seem to always come back to life lessons on faith and a recognition that living life following God’s ways is best.

My advice for new bloggers?

  1. Set a blogging schedule and keep it.
  2. God cares more about what you write than how well it is written.

Blessings,

Ginny
